Checking the Phone Gallery

Mostly any video from our camera or download can be found in the gallery App easily. You have to just open the gallery app which is sometimes called as photos from the apps option. On the app you have to go to the videos section.

Many of the gallery apps have separate sections for videos and images. Then just tap on the video section to see all of your saved videos that are available on your phone. Sometimes it happens that the gallery app has certain folders and albums. In this situation you can check the folders like camera or WhatsApp videos or downloads if you remember from where you have received the video. 

Check the file manager

It happens sometimes that we do not find the saved videos in our gallery app so we can use another option that is File Manager app. This is helpful to see all of the save videos on our phone including other files like documents or pictures. For this you have to just open the File Manager app.

In some phones, this app is named as my files or files. You can find this App easily on your phone in the app section then you can look at the category of videos in the file manager app that have all your saved video files. Just tap on this option to see any videos that are available and saved on your mobile phone.

It sometimes happens that some phones do not have the folder for videos separately so you can check other folders like digital camera images, download or WhatsApp videos or movies. These are some of the albums that can have your saved video. 

Search the File

There is also an option of searching the file if you remember the name of the saved video or its type. You can do this on the gallery app or File Manager App easily by going to the search bar. This helps to save the time and energy in searching the saved video. For this purpose, you have to go to the search bar that is at the top of the gallery or File Manager app.

Then type anything you remember about the name of the saved video like birthday and a vacation to find it easily. Then the app will show you all the files that are related to your search. If you see the saved file you were searching for you can immediately tap on it to open. 

Go To Apps From You Have Saved the Video

Sometimes it happens that videos appear in the app from when we saved them. The saved videos from some specific Apps do not appear directly in the gallery or file Manager. It includes social media like Facebook, Instagram or tik Tok. For this you have to just go on the particular app you saved the video from and click on the saved section on the settings which is in your profile.

Some apps have a separate section for saved videos which is also named as favorites. Other apps like YouTube or Netflix have the saved videos in the app. The video saved from YouTube and Netflix usually appear on the app in this section of download or library. Other apps like Snapchat also have the video saved in their folder and the videos do not usually appear in the gallery or the File Manager app unless we change the settings. 

Check Cloud Storage Apps

If someone has cloud storage apps like Google Drive or I cloud installed in their phone then there is a possibility that the same videos are in these apps and not on the phone gallery or file Manager app.

For this you just have to open the cloud storage apps installed in your device then search for a folder named videos or you can also type the name of a video if you remember in the search bar. Lastly if you find the video you can download it to your phone from the cloud storage apps. 

Check Hidden Folders 

Sometimes there are hidden folders that are not visible because of default settings. The videos can get stored in these folders and to access them go to your file manager app. Then you can look for settings with the name show hidden files and enable it.

Now search for any file you are searching for that has been hidden to see if the file becomes available again. 

Check Search Tool Apps

Some apps like Google photos or one drive have an option to search the entire device for videos for any other files you are looking for. These apps have a strong searching engine that helps to even find the files that are hidden or difficult to find.

You can download these apps from Google store and then give the permission to access all your files from your phone. Then search any video or type any specific video name you are searching to see the saved video.

Check Recently Deleted Folder

Sometimes it happens that we accidentally delete a video so nothing to worry about. The recently deleted video and easily be fine in the recently deleted folder or trash folder in your phone.

For this you just have to go to the gallery or file Manager app to find the recently deleted folder or trash folder where deleted files are kept for sometime. If you see the video that you want to save then you can tap on it and choose restore to bring it back to your device.
